N e o P o c o t t / S D L About NeoPocott/SDL NeoPocott/SDL is a freeware software emulator which emulates SNK's NeoGeo Pocket (Colour) handheld gamedevice on your OS. NeoPocott/SDL is based upon Julien "Gollum" Frelat's free NeoPocott emulator. Currently ports exist for the Linux, WIN32, FreeBSD and BeOS platforms. All (future/present) emulators use the Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL) Library for graphical output, keyboard handling and (future) sound support. This great OpenSource library has proved his value for me as for other (commercial) projects because of it's cross-platform portability. Currently SDL runs on Linux, WIN32, FreeBSD, PSX2, QNX, BeOS, etc. DISCLAIMER We or the fellow developers can't be held responsible for damage done by this software. The use of this software is at your own risk. It will definitely have some bugs in it so it could be that some games and/or demo's won't work at all! The use of illegal obtained ROM images (aka leech-from-the-internet-while-I-don't-own-the-game) is a act of piracy and is the use of illegal games with copyrights and can result in legal actions (not only to you, but also to other developers as well). These emulators allows you to play free/public domain demo's and games as well as (some) commercial games which are available for the desired handheld. It's not our intentions to promote the piracy of commercial ROM's so in short you MUST own the game itself for playing this on the emulator. The use of commercial roms of games which you don't own is illegal and it hurts the companies which make these games. If you like the game, buy it! Also, e-mailing use with the question : "Where can I find roms" will definately not be answered! The emulators on this page are CLOSED SOURCE until quoted otherwise. The emulators will stay closed source until the original developers have agreed that the sources may be distributed to the public. Don't e-mail use about sourcecode, no awnser will be given!
